Know what else would be fun?

You know, since we don't even have enough money to get the bathroom done, I'm still thinking of other ways to work on the house. Tom and his dad were joking about this idea on the phone tonight, but I think it would be a great thing to accomplish!

Mind you, this will not likely be done in the next 20 years, if ever, but here's the latest great idea:

I'm thinking... full glass french doors... installed in the master bedroom. Outside the french doors would be a basic deck, and of course a ramp to reach the yard.

Why, you ask?

Since the master bedroom is where Tom 'gets' to spend a lot of his time due to pressure sores or other obstacles, having these french doors installed would give him a nice view outside. Also, with the doors being so wide, we'd literally be able to push Tom's bed out onto the deck during those times where he's not supposed to get in his chair. (Oh, and an added little perk would be able to walk outside my bedroom to smoke a cigarette and be able to be much quicker to respond to his needs.)

And, when all that gets done, I'll make sure to ask Blue to come help us paint the bedroom! (You knew I had to throw that in there, Blue! Don't cry! I'm sorry...)

Anyway - not as practical or as important as the bathroom, but still a nice idea and something to put on the wish list for when we win the lottery.

Oh, you have to buy the tickets? Damn.

That sounds really cool. It would be a lot of work though for sure. Just so you know painting not that bad however wall paper removal a whole other story.

I think that sounds pretty stinking awesome. I'd help but uh...yeah...baby and all. Darn my luck. LOL.

Still an awesome idea and really if you aren't planning a HUGE deck and were doing the work by way of family and friends I don't think it would be terribly expensive either. Of course we all know how smart I am right? Nuf said.

I have full confidence that Tom's dad and son could have the work done in a weekend, max. Now, if we just had money for materials... Oh wait! Thats our problem with the bathroom too.
