Top 10

Interesting things I've noticed since developing Bell's Palsy:

1 - Brushing and rinsing my teeth is hard. I definitely have to hang my head over the sink for this one.

2 - Waking up in the night to get a drink of water. I have to remind myself to make sure my lips are pressed up against the cup.

3 - Feeding Tom. With my lack of depth perception right now, I'm impressed I've not impaled him!

4 - The constant wonder if I'm drooling or have snot running out of my nose. Also, my one nostril doesn't move - so it's constantly feeling clogged, like I need to blow my nose!

5 - Getting bread out of my teeth. With my tongue and mouth not 100% in sync, it makes for some interesting visuals I'm sure. (No, there will not be any video!)

6 - I'm hearing my cat meow in two tones. Its reallllllly bizarre and makes my head hurt. This is the thing I hate the most (well, besides the obvious of just having this whole Bell's Palsy thing).

7 - Words that start with the letter 'B'. Its a hard letter to pronounce, I tell you what.

8 - Having my glasses continuously slide off the tape that is holding my eye shut.

9 - I can do a fairly decent Elvis impression at the moment.

10 - I totally empathize with any child that has a lazy eye and has to wear a patch! Patches suck hard core!

Trish - You think that getting rid of this Bell's crap is going to keep me from scaring the baby? Well, don't get your hopes up.
