Since this whole ear infection thing started, I've gained new insight on hearing loss. Its really a rather unique sensation to have lost a good part of my hearing in my left ear during this painful episode, temporarily.
I can hear myself chewing. Its a weird sound that I cannot discribe. Maybe if I were to plug both of my ears it would sound less abnormal.
Or, while taking a shower, the sensation of the water pouring over your head is more physical than something you hear. For some reason, the spray almost feels heavier to me.
How about the feeling of some car's system? I more sensitive to feeling the bass line. Sometimes I feel the need to ask someone if they can hear the noise, to make sure I'm not crazy.
I'm sure I could think of several more examples, but I'll spare you.
So, my question is, what do the hearing impared hear?

Sorry that I have been MIA
I suck. But then so does our ear issues.
so ... does that mean we are even?
Um I don't think so lady.
The ocean...I think they just hear the ocean. And the sound of a thousand spider foots in their head.
If they hear the ocean all the time, do they get sea sick easier or not at all? :-P
